“I’ve never known anyone yet who doesn’t suffer a certain restlessness when autumn rolls around… We’re all eight years old again and anything is possible.”–Sue GraftonHoodies. Bonfires. Boots. Cuddling. Pumpkin spiced everything. There is no doubt. Fall is here. There’s just something about the chill in the air that inspires me. It’s like the world is one big canvas and the changing leaves are the paint strokes. It makes me want to go hiking, start a new project, sip coffee and chat with my besties, or curl up with a good book next to the fireplace. Granted, my fireplace just happens to be a crackling log video playing on Netflix, but it still elicits that feeling. You know the one. It’s that feeling of renewal. Even though the plants are starting to hibernate, it’s a new season, a change of pace, and a new chance to do the things you keep putting off. Not to mention the clothes. What’s better than tall boots and sexy underthings beneath those cozy sweaters (um, hello lacy thong!) Or the layers… omg. There are so many ways to layer with big blanket scarves and ponchos. One of the best things about fall is that if you ever get hot, you can just take a layer off. So whether it’s sipping warm apple cider or getting some cabin time in with your main squeeze—whatever you love to do in the fall—I hope you have some great adventures! Go explore, get some things done, maybe do a little traveling (even if it’s just to a new hood in your town), and don’t forget to enjoy every little moment. ‘Cause you know that old man winter is just around the corner.
“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.” –John MuirWritten by Christina O'Flaherty
