Well, swimsuit season is upon us ladies. As much as I have tried to deny it and say I have been eating healthy this winter and spring…..I am fresh off of hibernation mode (eating like a bear or wild animal). Eating out can also become a really bad habit for people especially if you are busy or on the go a lot, as I am sure most of you lovely people are. I personally have become addicted to Bite Squad, which means I do not even have to leave my house to binge eat. However this summer I have made it a goal of mine to better my eating habits! I am not a health freak but I do like feeling good about what I put in my body and like to be conscious of it. I know that some people think healthy eating is time consuming and expensive. It honestly does not have to break the bank and can be made very simple. Another problem people run into is that the are excited to cook for themselves or make clean/healthy meals, snack and smoothies but they just have a lack of recipes in their repertoire.
One thing that I have found very useful and I LOVE doing is looking up recipes on pinterest right before I get hungry and then running to the grocery store and grabbing the ingredients. That way you only get what you need and you don’t have to worry about buy a bunch of ingredients and then never making the meal that requires them. Now, something else to note is that I am know chief and although I do love cooking I do not like taking too long to make anything. Luckily you can find a really wide range of recipes on pinterest. It also shows you a picture of what the meal is supposed to look like, for all you visual people out there.
I do not claim to be a nutritionist or an expert on eating 100% healthy but I have found this trick useful for cooking at home and knowing what I am putting in my body. The last thing that makes this technique of looking up breakfast lunch or dinner ideas on pinterest so great is because you can go through and save things that look good and your food board can be like your only personal, digitized cookbook!
