‘Tis the Season!

‘Tis the season for some adventure. With the summer months upon us it is time to get out and do some exploring and adventuring. Whether that be a hike in the woods, a trip to the lake, a trip across the country or even a trip across the world!! Summer for me is an inspiring time to get out and try new things, visit new places and meet some new faces. I believe that Minnesota especially is the spot for this. After being cooped up all summer, everyone is roaring to get outside and soak it all in! I love seeing the streets come to life, not only with blooming plants and flowers but also with people anxious to soak up the sun! Often times, when trying to decide what to do on a beautiful summer day it can be overwhelming because there are literally SO MANY different things to do in and around Minnesota! So here are a few of my top suggestions of outdoor activities that are sure to make you feel adventurous!

Adventure locations:

  • Willow River: Which may be cheating because it is technically is Wisconsin, but not too far from the city. Willow river is in a state park, right on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin. There are beautiful paths to walk on, and my favorite part is the waterfall! You can take a nice walk through the woods and end up at the awesome waterfall that people swim in and spend the whole day at, it is great!
  • Taylors Falls: I have only been here a few times, but have loved it each time! There are amazing hiking trails that go right along the mississippi river!
  • Any lake, anywhere! : One of my absolute favorite things to do in the summer is to be on water, whether that be a lake or a river I just need to be near it. If I can be, I will be on a boat every weekend...it is my happy place. I find a lot of adventure on the water, you can never see it all especially in Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes!
