Not a fashion
designer.
A problem solver.
Where form meets function — because the right pieces should function without a second thought, and still look beautiful doing it.
"Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you." Anthony Bourdain
A FIRST TRIP THAT
CHANGED
EVERYTHING.
It started in high school — my first mission trip to Guatemala, working alongside the community in San Lucas Tolimán. I went thinking I was going to help. But the people there gave me far more than I could ever offer: their compassion, their resilience, their quiet generosity. That trip cracked something open in me.
I came home understanding that travel isn't just about beautiful places. It's about connection — with people whose lives look nothing like yours, whose stories quietly shift how you see the world. When we actually show up for each other, across language and culture and distance, something remarkable happens.
That belief became UrbanUndercover. But understanding why people travel wasn't enough — I also needed to understand the friction that keeps them from going. That's where 11 years working for an airline and 16 years inside airports changed everything. I watched real women pack, stress, arrive, adapt. I knew every problem firsthand. And I knew no one was solving it beautifully.
My goal was never to add more clothing to the world. It was to solve real problems — with pieces so thoughtful, so functional, and so considered that you'd reach for them first, every trip, every time. Form that never apologizes for its function. Because the trip is always the point.
"We make clothing so you can stop thinking about what to pack — and start thinking about where to go."
Every scarf, wrap, and top we design begins with one question: does this make travel easier, more joyful, more intentional? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't ship. We're here to remove every last piece of friction between you and your next adventure.
- The overpacking spiral Nothing feels versatile enough, so you pack everything. The bag gets checked. The trip gets heavier. We solve it.
- The arrival moment You land wrinkled, underprepared, already behind. Our pieces go from gate to dinner without a second thought.
- The plane that's always freezing The restaurant that's always worse. One beautiful layer that handles both — no compromise, no overthinking.
- The mental energy drain Packing decisions shouldn't cost you your excitement. We made the hard decisions so you never have to.
bag.
Three principles.
Every decision.
foundation
Antibacterial. Odor-resistant. Machine-washable. Packable. If it doesn't solve a real travel problem, it doesn't make the cut. Form follows function — then exceeds it.
travel
We design for travelers who show up with curiosity and respect — for the Earth, for the cultures they're guests within, for the moments that change them.
to go
We believe the women we serve deserve the permission to take the trip, to invest in herself, to go. That's the belief behind everything we build.
"My goal with UrbanUndercover is to inspire people to travel — respectful of our Earth and other cultures — to get out there and learn from each other, and ultimately make the world a better place." Sairey, Founder
