Cheers to 2026

A New Year, A Grateful Heart

The beginning of a new year always gives me pause. It’s a moment to reflect — not just on what we’ve accomplished, but on why we keep going. This past year wasn’t easy. For small businesses, for families, and for anyone trying to build something meaningful in a complicated world, it required resilience, patience, and heart. As I look ahead, what I feel most is gratitude.

Travel has always been at the center of my life. It’s shaped who I am and how I see the world. For me, travel isn’t just about places — it’s about perspective. It opens our eyes, softens our hearts, and reminds us how deeply connected we all are. When we step outside our routines and into new cultures, we learn empathy. We listen more. We judge less. And we come home changed, even in small ways. That belief is at the core of why UrbanUndercover exists.

After years working in airports and traveling constantly, I felt the weight — physically and emotionally — of overpacking, uncomfortable clothing, and the pressure to “look the part” while on the move. I wanted something different. Clothing that felt easy and intentional. Pieces that supported movement, confidence, and presence. UrbanUndercover was created to help women pack lighter, move more freely, and focus on the experience — not their suitcase. Fewer pieces. Better design. Clothing that earns its place.

Our mission goes beyond clothing. We believe travel has the power to connect people and, in its own quiet way, help create a better world. When we travel thoughtfully, we build understanding. We support local communities. We return home more open-hearted and aware. If UrbanUndercover can play even a small role in helping women feel comfortable enough, confident enough, and unburdened enough to say yes to the trip — then we’re doing meaningful work.

I also want to be honest: growing a small business isn’t seamless. We’ve had growing pains. We’ve learned through trial and error. There have been moments where things weren’t perfect — a delay, a missed detail, a process still being refined. Your patience and grace during those moments mean everything to me. Every lesson helps us improve, and every bit of feedback helps us grow stronger.

In a tight and uncertain economy, choosing to support a small, woman-owned business is a powerful decision. Every purchase truly matters — not just financially, but emotionally. It tells me this work resonates. It tells me this vision is worth continuing. And it allows us to keep creating with care, intention, and heart.

As we step into this new year, my hope is simple: that UrbanUndercover continues to be a brand you trust and feel good wearing — and one that reminds you to keep exploring, stay curious, and remain open to the world around you.

Wherever this year takes you — take the trip.

With deep gratitude,
