MSP SALES ASSOCIATE

HOURLY: Hours Flexible, Part-Time, Full-Time 
Store Hours: 7am-4pm
Badging and Parking at MSP are paid for by UrbanUndercover

GENERAL:We are seeking motivated, fun and inspiring team members to be part of our retail team at our store in the MSP Airport. Requirement; you must love travel and airports. Applicants will be asked to help with merchandising and are responsible for ensuring customers have a positive and productive experience while in our store. Duties include, but aren’t limited to, keeping the store orderly and well-stocked, handling inventory and deliveries and helping to maintain the day to day operations of the store. Retail Sales Associates perform a variety of duties that can shift day to day depending on the needs of the store and you will play a vital role in the growth and success of our small business. The ideal candidates will be self starters who are reliable and can work both independently and as part of a team. Our goal is to connect with customers, learn their stories, find out what their pain points and pleasures are when traveling and help bring them into our world of adventures. 

Successful Retail Sales Associates should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • An understanding of retail and sales
  • Outstanding, friendly and engaging customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
  • Cheerful working attitude
  • Ability to problems solve as needed
  • Be willing to learn about UrbanUndercover as a brand, our product  and our mission
  • Have an eye for creative and bonus if it includes visual merchandising and store planning experience
  • Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
  • Inventory management experience a plus

  • Somewhat flexible in scheduling and available on some weekends

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent the UrbanUndercover brand in our store at the MSP Airport
  • Greet, welcome and assist customers throughout the buying process while in our store
  • Help with merchandising and inventory management
  • Stay knowledgeable on our brand, mission and products so as to recommend the best for our customers
  • Explain the benefits and functions of the products and how to best use them
  • Handle all sales transactions within our POS, including returns (although this is infrequent(
  • Promote the UrbanUndercover brand and products, as well as any promotions, events or other related information.

Working within the MSP airport, you will need to be badged and enter through employee security. Therefore you must be okay with a mandatory background check.

OFFICE MANAGER

HOURLY: Hours Flexible, Full-Time, Part-Time possible

GENERAL:The Office Manager plays a vital role in supporting the operations and growth of UrbanUndercover and will work closely with the CEO and other staff to ensure effective and efficient internal operations. They will report to the Founder & CEO (so formal! Ha! We’re a small, fun company) but they will also collaborate with all team members because we are, above everything, a team.

Successful Office Managers should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experienced in computer technology that includes excel, google docs, powerpoint, and social media marketing
  • Attention for detail
  • Some flexibility in scheduling and duties
  • Somewhat of an understanding of retail 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
  • Cheerful working attitude
  • Ability to problems solve as needed
  • Be willing to learn about UrbanUndercover as a brand, our product  and our mission

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as first point of contact for Founder & CEO: receive calls and postal mail, monitor emails, and ensure timely response and/or delegation to appropriate team member
  • Be the first point of contact for Customer Service by answering emails, responding to reviews and handling customer needs.
  • Manage Inventory, Quality Control and Shipping 
  • Process Exchanges, Returns and Refunds
  • Assist in product production and packaging needs
  • Work closely with CEO and Marketing Manager to maintain website inventory and product information
  • Maintain filing and provide other administrative support and office management as needed
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings
  • Plan and make travel arrangements for other staff members as needed
  • Helping prep store restocking and events inventory
  • Other duties as assigned.

SALES, EVENTS & LOCATIONS MANAGER

HOURLY: Full Time, Some travel and some work from home as an option

GENERAL:We are seeking someone to join our team as the Sales, Events and Locations Manager. This person will be the lead in planning and executing our wholesale and retail events, helping stock and oversee our MSP and Six for Good locations and manage sales for the wholesale division of UrbanUndercover. It’s a bonus if applicants have experience supervising, motivating, and supporting a small teams.

Successful Sales, Events & Locations Managers should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Some flexibility in scheduling and duties
  • Availability and willingness to travel, some weekends included
  • A strong understanding of retail and wholesale
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent visual communication skills
  • Knowledge of good design

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Event Planning and Management for Direct to Consumer shows (roughly 3-5/year)
  • Event Planning and Management for Wholesale Shows (roughly 3-5/year)
  • Make travel plans as needed for shows and events
  • Managing wholesale customers and orders by reaching out to potential customers, interacting with them at events and following up after initial communication
  • Overseeing the MSP Store to make sure inventory is stocked, schedules are made, the brand is well represented and any other store and employee needs are met
  • Overseeing our Six for Good Collaborative store location to make sure inventory is stocked and our brand is well represented
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of store manuals and product catalogs
  • Working closely with the Marketing Team for any initiatives that are happening
  • Weekly meetings with the CEO and Founder to strategize and plan

SOCIAL MEDIA  & VISUAL CONTENT COORDINATOR

CONTRACT: Hours Flexible, Part-Time. 
Work from home to be completed in a timely manner.

GENERAL:The Social Media and Visual Design Coordinator will be responsible for managing our social media, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest. In addition, they will help create visual content not only for social media, but also for our email marketing and website. They will partner with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement marketing strategies that drive interest, awareness, engagement and sales.They will also be responsible for working with PR to manage our product and brand story/messaging. Other duties include establishing and maintaining collaborations with others that will grow awareness of our brand and sales of our product. The position will be successful through positive cross-functional collaboration, proactive communication and creative data-driven and segmented messaging. Applicants must have  a passion for travel, sustainability, ethical practices, kindness, and UrbanUndercover’s mission, vision and values.

Applicants must have a knowledge of visual design and know how to work both layout and video software/apps, whether it be Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, PicMonkey or other programs/apps. The programs/apps don’t have to be high tech, but applicants must have the ability to put together and edit both visuals and video. It’s a bonus if the applicant has knowledge of Shopify websites and Pinterest advertising. 

Applicants should have the ability to work independently as well as with others for collaborative situations. There will be weekly meetings with the Marketing Manager and the CEO (we’re a small company, so that sounds so formal! We’re really fun, we promise) to discuss projects, plans and to go over metrics. 

Successful Social Media & Visual Content Coordinators should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent visual communication skills
  • Knowledge of social media and the various platforms
  • Knowledge of good design
  • Ability to design and alter imagery in various online or app editing software

  • Ability to consistently demonstrate credibility and integrity
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn new technology for teams communicating

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and TickTock visual content and messaging management, including but not limited to posting photos, creating reels, adding stories and pinning Pins.
  • Responding to and working with customers who contact us via our social media platforms
  • Helping create, manage and maintain our visual content for social media, email marketing and advertising
  • Helping create, manage and maintain our visual content for the website and promotional pieces
  • Organizing and implementing photo shoots both locally, nationally and internationally
  • Establish and maintain collaborations with photographers, brands and businesses to expand UrbanUndercover awareness
  • Work with our Marketing Manager and Advertising Coordinator to ensure that the messaging is consistent and timely
  • Assist with PR, if requested
